Report Plan:

• Paraphrase paragraph: show>compare; the proportion>the percentages; gained>were awarded
• Overview/summary paragraph: (1) % of students with First Degrees fell (2) % of students with Science Ph.Ds increased
• Paragraph 3: report and compare figures for students with Arts degrees
• Paragraph 4: report and compare figures for students with Science degrees

Essay Plan :

• Introduction: refer to the task question; agree that price increases are effective, but developing cleaner fuels would be fairer and better.
• Paragraph 2: price increases are effective.  Cheap prices encourage air travel – growth of budget airlines e.g. the UK
• Paragraph 3: other actions would be better (1) price rises hit the poor unfairly (2) investment in non-polluting fuels for aircraft would be better for the environment
• Conclusion: price increases would discourage air travel, but they are unfair and cleaner aircraft fuels would directly benefit the environment.
